Buy 50% off St!zo x Takashi Murakami Custom Dunk High
Dont know what to say about these dunks, how about COLORFUL! I cant even count how many colors these kicks feature, but i really liking these despite the colorful design which some of you many like. Famous custom sneaker artist St!zo has come together with Takashi Murakami to customize a pair of Nike Dunk Highs. For those of you that didn’t know, Takashi Murakami is also the designer behind Kanye West’s Graduation album and Louis Vuitton. The Dunk High displays similar characteristics of Murakami’s art and a touch of St!zo. Detail and color are both displayed on just about every part of the shoe.
Damn these kicks are hot!!!! Really love the colors on this kicks, especially the neon yellow laces. This is the first complete look at the Blue Lobster Dunk, which included special packaging that comes with it. This pair hosts a blue upper accented by neon yellow laces, a white tongue and a light blue sole. The Concepts x Nike SB Blue Lobster Dunk will be bagged and sealed in a HAZMAT foam box along with a matching t-shirt, lace locks, and hang tag.
Nike Dunk is a great design that has been the center of attention in the sneaker design for a whole century. We expect this situation to continue for as long as the human species continues to exist. At least the omens and the scientific data all confirm that the coming power of the Nike brand will survive through the aeons, ages and eras to compete with such timeless concepts like love, passion, and courage.
One day humanity will speak of Nike as part of human identity. And maybe, if human beings incorporate artificial limbs and body appendages to their bodies some day, Nike will be a part of the physical human existence too.
The Nike Dunk story makes a better read than any of the works of Goethe, or Dickens, for sure. And yet the master designers are not satisfied with the oerfection of the legend, and add ever greater levels of shocking magnificence to compound the time-busting greatness of this creation.
And well, they are successful. The name Nike and failure don’t come together of course, but notwithstanding that reality, we’re surprised that such era-busting supremacy can be maintained indefinitely like this.
Nike rules. And this cooperation with Gucci will carry the throne to a level above the sky, for sure.
3R Custom Sneakers is the organizer of the 2009 Clash of the Customizers that is taking place right now at the website linked here. The designer also entered the 112 Nike Dunk Lows in the tournament, easily defeating Sole Affection’s Space Hare Dunk Highs in the first round. You can check out more information on 3R Custom Sneakers website linked here.
The 112 Nike Dunk Lows are based on DJ Clark Kent’s Nike 112 Pack shown here. 3R Customs borrowed the elephant skin pattern from the Nike 112 Pack, breaking up the gray heel wrap with deep black lines. The middle panels and toes are painted gray to complement the heel wraps while offering great contrasts with the laces and outsoles.
The 112 Nike Dunk Lows feature neon green outsoles and shoe laces to attract the viewer. 3R Custom Sneakers also added “Clark” and “Kent” on the heel tags in neon green to stand apart from the black background. The designer did a great job of cribbing the best parts of his inspiration without copying another artist’s work. 3R Custom Sneakers will pit the 112 Nike Dunk Lows against the first-round winner between bLue and JBLogic.
